Civitella del Tronto is an old village located in northern Abruzzo, 589 metres above sea level on a rocky cliff. The majestic fortress overlooking the village. Civitella is surrounded by an amazing landscape. Here is one of the narrowest street of Italy: la Ruetta. Sadly, the village has been severely damaged by the earthquake which hit the centre of Italy in 2016. Many of the buildings were condemned and people still live in fear. It’s so hard to move on. At the same time, they are really pleased to meet visitors. All the people I met were extremely friendly! When I visit Civitella, I was really impressed with how beautiful this place was! Hope you like the pictures I took…

It reminds me Santo Stefano di Sessanio in Abruzzo in mountains also damaged by earthquake now coming back to life.
