I recently visited the Itria Valley, which includes the villages of Alberobello, Locorotondo and Cisternino. This wasn’t my first trip to Apulia, but I’ve never seen those places before. Alberobello is well known for its Trulli, the typical houses with conical roof. It was so crowded but still fascinanting. I spent a day in Locorotondo too, a truly charming place. The name Locorotondo literally means “round place”, because of the circular shape of the old town. Such a quite and interesting place, with its characteristic white stone houses. Another enchanting place to visit is Cisternino, with its unique spontaneous architecture.
